Dear ditor,
Though Maurice and Mafrose argue on biblical and christian approaches, many people in Solomon Islands never learn the social and economic impacts of celebrating events. One is christmas and the other is easter, people spend more money on alcohol especially for the idea of celebrating but the aftermath is pain and sorrow, hunger and increasing poverty. So, Mafrose, do not think that taking alcohol during Easter is for sinners and should be pardoned or ask for some one to pray for you, easter does not mean in an economic term that you must spend your money on beer. Right now I know that you are going to sacrifice again on dry rice, or rice and noodle until the next forthnight. Don't think that as a sinner you are going to drink beer every time during easter, think about your family, do they need some economic comfort or not? blaming yourself as a sinner all the time is not an excuse.
Easter festivity vs night clubbing festivity
