Forty-eight year old bouncer, Kameli Bolaitamana has appeared in the Suva Magistrates Court for a charge of murder of a Solomon Islands student studying in Fiji.
Police say Bolaitamana allegedly punched the Solomon Islands student, Collin Maepara in a nightclub in Suva last Friday.
Maepara, a student of the Fiji National University died in hospital on the same night.
Bolaitamana has been remanded in custody to re-appear in the High Court on August 23.
The deceased was survived by his Fijian wife, Mere Salala and their two children. Late Collin's body is expected to return home to the Solomon Islands for his burial.
