Mr Maelanga said this commitment is aimed at ensuring locals fully utilize opportunities offered at SINU and most importantly to reduce the cost of tertiary education on families.
He added that the demand for tertiary education in Solomon Islands is huge and it is important that Government leads the way in assisting students pursue their educational interests.
Following this sponsorship arrangement, Government scholarships will be made available for students who are keen to undertake tertiary education at SINU starting next year.
